Venvi Heritage Manor Community BBQ Supports Local Health Care

3/11/2026

A community barbecue organized by Billy Tippett and the team at Venvi Heritage Manor Retirement Living has resulted in a donation to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation, helping support local health care through the Together, We Care Campaign.

Held earlier this summer in partnership with M&M Food Market, with buns generously donated by Valley Buns Bakery & Deli Inc., the event brought together residents, families, staff, and community members for a day of food, community spirit, and fundraising.

Thanks to the support of those who attended, the barbecue raised a total of $720. The proceeds were shared equally between the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72 Pembroke Poppy Fund, with $360 supporting local hospital care.

"We are grateful to Billy, the staff at Venvi Heritage Manor, and everyone who supported this event," said Roger Martin, Executive Director of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation. "Community fundraisers like this help ensure patients and families across the Upper Ottawa Valley continue to have access to exceptional care close to home."

The donation will support the Foundation's Together, We Care Campaign, helping fund priority equipment and technology needs at Pembroke Regional Hospital.

The Foundation extends its thanks to Billy Tippett, Venvi Heritage Manor Retirement Living, M&M Food Market, Valley Buns Bakery & Deli Inc., and everyone who contributed to the success of the event. Their support demonstrates how local businesses, organizations, and community members can make a meaningful difference through collective action.

Community-led fundraisers continue to play an important role in supporting local health care. Whether it's a barbecue, bake sale, tournament, workplace fundraiser, or community event, every effort helps advance the Together, We Care Campaign and strengthen care for patients and families throughout the region.
