Heroes Run for Healthcare Returns To Downtown Pembroke May 3rd
19/1/2026
Capes, community spirit, and a great cause will once again take over downtown Pembroke as the Heroes Run for Healthcare makes its highly anticipated return on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
Proudly presented by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, the Heroes Run invites runners, walkers, families, and teams of all abilities to come together in support of local healthcare. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or cheering on a young superhero, this event offers something for everyone.
Participants can choose from:
• 2K Superhero-Themed Kids Run (for ages 12 and under), proudly sponsored by Bradley Law
• 5K Timed Run through the heart of downtown Pembroke.
Individuals and teams are encouraged to register and fundraise, with exciting fundraising prizes up for grabs. Costumes are welcome, teamwork is celebrated, and every step helps strengthen healthcare in our community.
Superhero 2K Run organizer Tammy Blackmore shares, “the 2km hero–themed kids run is packed with superheroes, exciting mission stops filled with treats, and a special superhero cape for every finisher. Families are invited to take part in the fun 2 km themed run, where kids can meet many of their favourite superheroes and other movie themed characters. Each child will receive a mission bag at the start line to collect treats from superheroes and other characters along the course. Complete the mission and cross the finish line to earn your very own superhero cape.”
Registration is now open at www.heroesrun.ca. Pricing is $10/child aged 12 and under for the 2km hero-themed fun run where guardians can accompany them on the run free of charge. For the 5km timed run, registration is $35/person. A special group rate for schools, youth organizations, and sports teams of $150 is also available for the 5K run.
Mark your calendar, gather your heroes, and get ready to run, walk, or roll for a cause that truly matters.
